Why were they intrigued by Pump?

Stayflexi's team is one of the most well-versed and sophisticated teams when it comes to DevOps and cloud savings. They had previously purchased RIs (Reserved Instances) on RDS (Relational Database Service) and Elasticache that were overcommitted. If Pump had purchased these RIs and left them unused, it would have provided risk-free discounts for Stayflexi, which is exactly what they were looking for.

Results

We developed our 'past savings' feature inspired by the questions raised by Stayflexi. By showing them their previous savings and overcommitments and how much additional savings Pump was able to generate on top of that, it helped them gain a clear understanding of their overall savings. Despite already being heavily cost optimized, Pump was able to find almost 1x additional savings on top of their past savings.
